FEATURED IN THIS VIDEO:
How to Get into the City:
- From Pisa Airport (Gallilei Gallileo Intl Airport): Take the Pisamover to Pisa Centrale Station, and buy a ticket to Florence (Santa Maria Novella Station)
- From Florence Airport (Peretola)
Cheapest option is the new Tram from T2 to Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence.
Or just hop in a cab)
How to Skip The Lines:
(VERY IMPORTANT TO AVOID SPENDING HOURS IN LINES!)
- The most user friendly website for reserving skip the line reserved ticket times (for the Uffizi Gallery and the Academia Gallery (Michelangelo's David) is:
www.florence-tickets.com/florence
(But you’ll pay more of a fee…but it is user friendly)
- The official ticketing website for the Uffizi Gallery and The David is B-ticket:
www.b-ticket.com/b-ticket/uffizi/default_eng.aspx
(Less user-friendly, but a cheaper ticket price…and it’s not that hard to figure it out)
- The official site for reserving a climb for the Duomo is here (this will also include entrance into all of the attractions of the Duomo):
grandemuseodelduomo.waf.it/en/cumulative-ticket-great-museum-of-the-cathedral-of-florence
- You can also call to book a time at the Uffizi and David by calling this number from a US phone:
011-39-055-294-883
- Or this number from an Italian phone:
055-294-883
You can also sometimes book through your hotel (if you’re staying at a hotel)
Or go with a small group tour like ArtVivia (more expensive, but highly recommended):
www.artviva.com/

- Gustapizza
- Le Volpi e L’Uva

florence one of my favorite cities ive been to
Great video! Looking forward to Sorrento and Salerno.😊
my dogs shit is better than taco bell - hope that asswipe was kidding
still sad that Matt no longer does travel videos. Hopefully everything is okay.
Great cheesecake at Majestic Deli, on Broadway. I also loved Magnolia's banana pudding and roasted pork at Wah Fung.
Wonderful. My new home. Thank you so much, beautifully organized, colourful and informative.
Awesome video! ❤
I love your report, well informed. With this I watched I hopefully know the areas I'll go to this city next month🤗
How’s the air quality there ?
A bro. How’s the dating ? Any country woman ?
I want to hire a donkey!
Langer’s delicatessen restaurant is in the worst area of Los Angeles right in the middle of Skid Row. The food is really good but be very careful where you park and watch your surroundings. Most people will not even want to get out of the car in that neighborhood.
More travel video's Matt. You are so good at it.
Hey Matt. I played pickleball with your mother today. I mentioned I was going to Italy and she gushed about your Florence video. With good reason. This is excellent and now I can make a plan based on your outstanding tips. Can’t wait. Engaging, enlightening and very fun. Thank you and here’s hoping you’re making more videos. (Your mother was a badass on the court!😉)
Aw that’s so cool!! So glad you liked the video!!! Hope it’s helpful!!
Such an amazing video about Hong Kong! Bring back our wonderful 30 years of memories. Thank you for the great job you did! Could you please make a video about Taiwan soon? We would love to show you around!😊
PSA is no longer cheaper and convoluted unless you live near major airport like EWR.
I’m going next week to Italy and I’m going to stay in Florence for one night, this video helped me a lot !!!! Thank you!!
I freakin love your videos!
The absolute BEST deli in L.A. is NOT this sad place. It is in S.M., does these sandwiches miles high, and we who know, know! They aren’t about P.R.ing people all over the place. And if you’re going to spend a fortune on a deli sandwich, your money is best spent there. I won’t advertise them on Langer’s space but I urge you to find them as I did. Trust me, you will never look back!!!
Amazing info. Love your personality and humour!! THANKS!!!
Ty so much
"Watashino nihonjin desu" :D It is as funny as it was all these years ago when I watched this video before going to Japan.
molè 🤮🤮
Tip 14 is the best one, Go get lost and discover stuff.
How to get around. Schipol station. Walking around. Very expensive. Rain and Wind. Bicycle city. Donkey republic. Explore r e light districts. No pictures. Dutch pancake. Pancake bakery. The pantry. Coffee shop katsu corree shop smoke then the market albert cyp market Anne frank house vong gosh museum after smoking party in nught boat tour some outside place tour
This is by far the very best travel Vlog made on visiting Florence that I’ve seen! Thanks a million!
Excellent
My dad and grandma who is from el Salvador left this world teaching me how to make perfect pupusas. Sadly both passed away. Miss them. 😢.
looking forward tomytrip inJuly. thanks for info.
Many thanks for this video, it was instrumental in my holiday planning! Especially: travel advice, the pantry recommendation, vondelpark, albert cuyp market, and the raw herring recommendation (no other videos seemed to mention this) The balance of light-hearted humor and actual advice was great. Your weather warning was very accurate. I think it rained about 5 times per day we were there, sometimes the rain was absolutely torrential, and then it'd be sunny an hour later. Also, it's not your fault, but a year after this video was made Amsterdam banned dockless rental bikes, so the whole thing about renting a bike as a tourist is really not applicable anymore.
Awesome! Thoroughly enjoyed your video! You are a pro and should do more travel videos.
i fly tomorrow and this pops up hmmm... thank you!
Firenze is absolutely amazing
Thank you , Matt! Simply beautiful.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Super helpful.
Your video clips of the city are stunning 👏🏼
Matt, its been awhile since you travel or made a travel video. Get your lazy ass up and start traveling again.
Matt! I wish you would do more videos. I went to Italy last September but I was only in Florence for 4 days and I ate at most of the restaurants you recommended (OMG the sizzling gnocchi..life changing!!) Watching this video certainly made my trip a success! I don't know why you stopped making videos but wishing you would change your mind. Take care!!
Just booked our Airbnb just outside Otroarno! Driving into Florence from Castelnuovo…will keep the rental til we go back to Rome! Your videos are honestly the best out there (I’ve seen hundreds)! I nicknamed you the funnier and better (younger) Rick Steves ( the Chuck Norris of travel)! Keep It coming bro! If you’re ever in Oahu, Hawaii… hit us up! Aloha
Unfortunately, after covid amsterdam became horrible scam and crime town , so sad , also dirty and rubbish everywhere.
Love your tips Matt! Thanks so much.
I know this video is 5 years old, pre COVID but I just wandered if the information are still the same or at least similar ? I am currently planning to visit HK in November, wanting to see old/ traditional side of HG.
Everything is better than Taco Bell
Best vídeo about Amsterdam in UA-cam 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love it
$1.25 taco each. man, i remember when they were like 50 cents!now its double the price. still worth
There is absolutely NO OLIVE OIL in the cacio and pepe, tip #1.... that was not the right place ;-) Next time you come just tell me ahaha
I know this is 6 years ago, but wtf is kawbaysaw?
amsterdams cannibus culture is beyond belief. the top.
Matt is hilarious! 😆
We just got back from Florence. We flew into the Florence airport (53 minute flight from Munich) and took the tram to and from the tiny airport. We stayed right near the Cattedrale. Loved how walkable the city was. Booked all our tickets ahead right on the official sites. Food was good everywhere as long as you don’t go to the most touristy places. Loved using my Italian.
